Jacob Motz (Specialist, US Army)
Jake is a Program Manager for the Wellmore Centre. Jake provides counseling and group therapy for those seeking recovery. Jake is also the coordinator for the Pathway to Wellness men’s sober living program.
Jake began serving clients at the Wellmore Centre in September 2022. Jake’s diverse occupational background started with his family-owned construction business when he was in his teens. Jake then joined the U.S. Army a few years after graduating high school, and was an Infantryman stationed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. After that, Jake went back to school on the G.I. Bill, getting a B.S. in Environmental Science with a minor in psychology from the University of Mount Union. After graduating, and while working as an aquatic biologist, Jake volunteered to help out at his church with their youth ministry. A few months later, Jake realized that helping people was his calling, and became the Director of Student Ministries at Rivertree Canal Fulton. Jake now looks forward to continuing to help people at the Wellmore Centre where he will provide service in both the New Philadelphia and Cadiz locations.
